Cannabis educator and influencer, Tammy Pettigrew took a moment to speak to Dr. Patrizia Porcu. She has a PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Cagliari, Italy and is currently a Research Scientist at the Institute of Neuroscience, National Research Council of Italy.
The interview is part of UCI’S Center for the Study of Cannabis upcoming virtual symposium to get greater insight into innovative research on cannabis and the sexual brain.
Her research is focused on elucidating the role of neuroactive steroids in physiological and pathological conditions with particular regard to neuropsychiatric diseases such as drug addiction and emotional disorders.
Dr. Porcu's presentation is on: "Behavioral characterization of co-exposure to cannabinoids and hormonal contraceptives in female rats" and will be presented on October 13, 2021 from 11:20am-11:35am.
